Long arching gouges
We are making two different long arching gouges.
They are forged from round bar of SS2258 (100Cr6). Hardened and tempered to approx. 65 HRC.
The handles are turned from Ash or Elm, depending on availability. Length of handle is 235mm.
Arching gouge straight 27-40, external bevel. Total length approx. 470mm
Arching gouge bent 35-30, internal bevel. Total length approx. 470mm.
