Violin making gouges
Our violin making tools are developed in continuous cooperation with violin making schools in Germany and Switzerland since the early 1980s. They are forged from round bar of SS2258 (100cr6) and hardened/tempered to about 65 HRC.
The handles are turned from Ash or Elm, depending on availability.
Download the sweep table to see prices and easily compare the different sizes.
You can order the gouges individually, as a whole set or put together your own set by combining the scrollgouges from both sets A and B.
We can also make special widths/radii at an additional cost.
For these tools we accept orders via e-mail or phone.
